Christian Cussin’
The Real “S,” “F,” and “G-D” Words That Are Wrecking the Church
We’ve all heard it. Some loudmouth on the street—or worse, a Christian online—dropping words that make your spirit cringe.
But I’m not here to talk about the usual cuss words. I’m talking about the ones that church folk use every day without realizing they’re more dangerous than the four-letter ones.
This is a wake-up call.
This is Christian Cussin’—and it’s not what you think.
The “S” Word: Submission
That’s right. The dirtiest word in the modern church might just be submission.
We live in a culture where everyone wants to be the boss, where no one wants to serve, and where rebellion is rebranded as “freedom.” But in the Kingdom, freedom comes through alignment—not independence.
God has always worked through authority—even within the Trinity.
And yet we bristle at the thought of getting under covering.
But here’s the principle:
You’ll never get over what God put under you until you get under what God put over you.
Moses submitted to God. Elisha submitted to Elijah. David submitted to Saul—even when Saul was trying to kill him.
Why? Because David knew this wasn’t about Saul.
It was about honoring God through submission.
Rebellion, on the other hand, is as the sin of witchcraft.
You may not have a pentagram on your wall—but if you refuse to submit to godly authority, you’re opening the same door.
This isn’t about control—it’s about trust.
If you can’t trust God to lead through imperfect people, you’ll never walk in your calling.
The “F” Word: Forgiveness
Let’s get even more uncomfortable.
The real “F” word in the church? Forgiveness.
And let’s be honest—unforgiveness is everywhere.
People shouting “hallelujah” on Sunday, then holding silent grudges all week long.
Peter asked Jesus if forgiving someone seven times was enough. Jesus said, try 490—in a single day.
Forgiveness is not a feeling—it’s a decision.
And it’s not just for the person who hurt you.
It’s for you.
Because when you refuse to forgive, you give the other person the controller to your life.
“Your life is the X-box. And they’ve got the controller.”
Forgiveness is emotional healing.
Forgiveness is physical healing.
Forgiveness is spiritual breakthrough.
Jesus forgave before they repented.
He said “Father, forgive them” while the nails were still fresh.
And if we want to walk in His power—we’ve got to walk in His mercy.
The “G-D” Word: Good Deeds
This one flips everything. Because the G-D word isn’t what you think.
It’s Good Deeds.
James said that faith without works is dead.
And while we’re not saved by works—we sure are called to them.
The early church exploded because everyone was serving.
People gave. They built. They cleaned. They greeted.
It wasn’t about titles—it was about towels.
Jesus didn’t come to be served—He came to serve.
And now we’ve got a church full of consumers instead of contributors.
God didn’t bless you to sit back.
He blessed you to bless others.
Your “good deeds” are the transfer system of heaven’s goodness.
When God sends a “good and perfect gift,” He expects you to become a conduit, not a cul-de-sac.
Don’t sit and wait for a platform—pick up a mop.
There’s no such thing as a “small” act of service in the Kingdom.
It’s Time to Stop Cussin’
If you’re walking in rebellion…
If you’re harboring unforgiveness…
If you’re withholding your hands from service…
You’re Christian cussin’.
Because you’ve taken the name of Christ—but you’re living in contradiction.
God’s Word is clear:
“Let no corrupt word come out of your mouth, but only what is useful for building others up… and do not grieve the Holy Spirit.” —Ephesians 4:29-30
This isn’t just about what comes out of your lips.
It’s about the way you live your life.
You carry the name of Jesus.
Don’t take that name in vain.
You’ve Got a Choice Today
Do you need to submit to authority again?
Do you need to forgive someone you’ve been carrying for years?
Do you need to serve, give, or take that next step into real Kingdom responsibility?
The altar may not look like wood and nails—it might look like you texting someone an apology.
It might look like you showing up early next week to greet at the door.
It might look like you finally saying, “Yes, Lord—I’ll go.”
It’s time to clean up the language of your life.
No more rebellion.
No more bitterness.
No more sitting on the sidelines.
Let the world keep their profanity.
You walk in purity.
Let them cuss.
You serve.
Let them rebel.
You submit.
Let them hate.
You forgive.
That’s Kingdom talk. That’s real Christianity.
